While the Center for Vital Longevity was listening to Dr. Claudia Kawas on living past 90, the Friends of the Warren Center were checking out the spring fashions for the benefit of Richardson-based Warren Center that provides resources and support for “children with development differences or disabilities, and their families.” Here’s a report from the field:
The Friends of the Warren Center including Jen Tomasik, Kim Charles, Sharon Broussard, Sonetta Palmer, Debbie Fruithandler, Dr. Kara Bentley, Dr. Cathy Zhon, Andrea and Dick Doyle, Deepa and Vasu Moparty, Taylormarie Davenport, Imran Sheikh, Danielle Bels, Jordan Roberts, Magnus Wetterstand and Sylvia Hargrave gathered for their spring fashion show, “Movement.”
At 6 p.m., guests entered the newly renovated event space, Couture Gallery on Riverfront, owned by designer Shemara Jeyarajah to enjoy light bites by Eddie V’s, cakeballs by CakeBallz and Neurosonic Beverages.
At 7 p.m., The Warren Center Development Director Tara Null welcomed everyone to the fashion show and discussed The Warren Center mission. DFW Style Editor Leah Frazier emceed the fashion show produced by Willie Johnson of WJ Productions.
Models from Frisco ISD, Friends of the Warren Center, The Warren Center children and special guests Jake “The Bachelor” Pavelka, Gary Walden, Allison Edwards, Jason Treu, Paul Salfen, Dr. Rohan Jeyarajah, Linda Snorina, Kirsten Williams, Wendy Rodriguez, Sydney Null and The Warren Center child, Constance Jackson modeled Spring/Summer and White Hot Summer Night scenes. They wore designs from Aftershock London, Elaine Turner, Edo Popken of Switzerland, Kid Biz and The Biz.
Designer Shemara Jeyarajah concluded the show with her Shemara Couture line featuring her custom women’s cocktail dresses, suits, gowns and men’s shirts.
