It seems like if any event has been happening in the last couple of years, Kit Sawers has been behind the scenes putting things in place. As CEO of Faye+Sawers, she was involved with 2014 NCAA Final Four, the Grand Opening of Klyde Warren Park and the North Texas Super Bowl XLV Host Committee to name a few.
The most recent was the United Way 90th anniversary doings.
Well, evidently the relationship between United Way with Kit was such a hit, she’s hired on as United Way of Metropolitan Dallas’ new Chief Development Officer replacing interim chief Development Officer Mike Gelhausen.
According to United Way of Metropolitan Dallas CEO/President Jennifer Sampson, “We have a bold and exciting vision for the future of UWMD and its positive impact on our community. For over two years, we’ve had the great fortune to work with Kit and her team on our record-breaking 90th anniversary volunteer events and the Unite Forever Gala. Kit is bold thinker and will be a valuable addition to our senior leadership team. I have no doubt her experience, expertise and passion will drive relationship and revenue growth and her leadership will accelerate UWMD’s ability to meet the changing requirements and expectations of our current investors and volunteers.”
As for the rest of the Faye+Sawers staff, they “will join United Way as the new Business Development Strategies Team.”
But don’t send flowers quite yet. Their first day at United Way isn’t until April 1. No fooling.
