The Trinity River Mission’s Mission Ole has changed its usual POA for its fall fundraiser. Instead of having the party at a private home, it’s headed in a different direction. Here’s a report from the kick-off party that took place at Elements on Wednesday, July 16:
“This year’s Mission Ole benefiting Trinity River Mission will take place on Saturday, September 27, at 3015 at Trinity Groves. The VIP reception begins at 6:30 PM and the party starts at 7 PM. The fundraiser will feature Live & Silent Auctions, Tequila Tastings and Latin music and dancing.
“LeeAnne Locken and D’Andra Simmons-Lock are the co-chairs this year, and Joyce and Linus Wright are the honorary chairs.
[At the kick-off party] “Guest Tiffany Hendra won a $200 gift card which was graciously donated by Elements for the raffle, and a huge highlight was the presence of both Dee Simmons and Doris Jacobs. Guests enjoyed the wonderful sounds Phil Brumley (photo attached) on guitar his renditions of John Legend‘s “All of Me” and Bon Jovi‘s “Living on a Prayer” had guests singing and humming along to the music!
“Trinity River Mission is a volunteer-based community learning center that promotes literacy, encourages academic success and develops effective life skills among disadvantaged youth in West Dallas.”
