Not everybody is abandoning Dallas starting this weekend. Sure, the queen bees are flying off to vacation spots for the summer, but that doesn’t mean they’re taking the fun with them. Actually, the summer fun knows no limits. From til Midnight at the Nasher to the Perot Museum’s killer summer programs, the city is rocking and rolling sans the stuffy black tie wear.
One example of fun without stuffiness is the Young Friends of the Wilkinson Center’s Third Annual White Party on Saturday, May 31. No, this isn’t a cute, little white glove party for a gaggle of gals. Shoot, no! Last year they had 600 lads and lassies for the fundraiser.
This year’s event is right on target to be a repeat performance at Saint Ann Restaurant & Bar from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. DJ Elizabeth Farrell will be in charge of the music and 100% of the proceeds go to the Wilkinson Center.
As for the tickets, Young Friend members get in for $60 and non-member for $75.
Party attire? Duh. Why do you think they call it the “White Party”?
