According to Big Thought CEO Gigi Antoni,
“My resolution for 2014 is to advocate for the pronoun ‘our,’ both in thought and in deed, when it comes to Dallas children. Too often, when adults speak of education, we discuss Dallas ISD students, private-school students, poor children, at-risk children, and other bucket descriptors that take the individuality out of the hundreds of thousands of young people that will be leading the Dallas of tomorrow. I’m the CEO of a nonprofit called Big Thought, and every day we provide educational programs to students of unique abilities and cultures, backgrounds and strengths … and each one of them belongs to this city. They are our children, not those children, and we must continue to think of them as Dallas’ greatest resource. That’s what will drive my personal philosophy and goals in 2014.”
