The Dallas Film Society just revealed the date for the 2013 Art of Film — Friday, November 8. Once again it will be at the Hall of State in Fair Park. This year’s event will be chaired by Kacy and Carter Tolleson.
According to the Tollesons, “We are honored to be a part of history with this year’s The Art of Film. Our love for film and appreciation of the art makes it a natural partnership. The Dallas Film Society recognizes film arts and its many forms through a variety of channels and monthly programming and we are excited to help organize this prestigious event.”
Now, the question is, “Who will be in the chair across the way guest moderator Elvis Mitchell?”
You’ll just have to wait for the second reel on that one. But let’s face it. The former movie types who have been part of Art of Film have included Robert Duvall, John Lithgow and Val Kilmer.
This is a good one to take a chance on before the announcement is made. There’s the red carpet, the reception, interview and seated dinner afterwards. In addition to the celeb du jour, you’d be amazed at the high-profile movie lovers who are in the crowd.
Tickets start at $500 and sponsorships range from $5,000 to $30,000. And as always, the greater the check, the greater the perks.
