According to Thrift Studio Chair Kim Turner,

“Thrift Studio is a not-like-any-other-thrift-store THRIFT STORE. Thrift Studio is a bi-annual 30 day pop-up shop created to provide financial viability and fundraising for Dwell with Dignity through selling the overstock of donated, gently used furniture, housewares, accessories and high end designer finds to the public. All proceeds benefit the future work, growth, organization and structure of Dwell with Dignity.
“This fall, Dwell with Dignity’s Thrift Studio Preview Party will be held on Oct 10 in the Dallas Design Center, 1250 Slocum, Ste. 280. It’s an evening you certainly won’t want to miss! Tickets go on sale September 9 at www.dwellwithdignity.org/thrift-studio and it promises to be another sold-out event. Tickets for the VIP portion of the evening are $175.00 and will get you in the door at 6:00 pm – a full hour before anyone else! Preview Party tickets are $125.00 and will allow entry at 7:00.
Dwell with Dignity is honored to have Jan Showers serve as the Honorary Chair for this event. In addition, a cast of some of Dallas’ top designers will show off their talents in specially designed vignettes, using items from our warehouse as well as items they have donated from their own inventory. The designers include:
- Again and Again
- Codarus
- Todd Fiscus/Todd Events
- Sherry Hayslip Designs
- Lilli Designs
- Neal Stewart Designs
“In addition, Horchow will be curating a “pop-up within a pop-up” which promises to delight all of our party goers as well as those shopping throughout the month long event.
“Thrift Studio will be open to the public Tues. – Sat. beginning Oct. 11th and running through Nov. 9th. Hours of operation will be 10:00 – 5:30.
“Don’t miss this great opportunity to buy designer goods at a deep discount for a greater cause. Be sure and mark your calendars for this one of a kind opportunity to help your community while finding lots of incredible deals on furnishings and accessories donated by some of the best designers and design showrooms in Dallas and beyond.”
