While Yvonne Crum has been watching . . . change that. . . she’s been babysitting the Fresh Faces of Fashion on a roll to a sell-out that took place last week, she’s been playing her newest honor low-key.
Understand that she is the honoree for the Dallas Can Academies 20th Anniversary Dallas Motherhood Luncheon. It’s slated for Thursday, May 23, at the Hilton Anatole’s Wedgwood Ballroom.
Honorary chairs are Y’s good buds Carolyn Lupton, recovering-from-foot-surgery Jill Rowlett and past recipient/WFAA’s Gloria Campos, who will serve as emcee.
According to organizers, “Yvonne will be honored for her outstanding community involvement and dedication to both family and community. She has held leadership roles and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars as a volunteer for several non-profit organizations in the Dallas community. Dallas Can Academies is excited to have the opportunity to honor her for all that she has done in service to others.”
Originally undertaken as “a tribute to strong civic-minded women who happend to be mothers, the “proceeds from the annual fundraiser benefit the students of Dallas Can Academies who often require support beyond their classroom.”

Yvonne, is very deserving of the honors she receives. She tirelessly works to better the community and its citizens. Her energy abounds and I’m exhausted just thinking about the schedule she keeps.
Most sincerely,
