The Great Adventure Hunt has moved its brain-twisting scavenger fundraiser. For years teams of six searched high and low at NorthPark among the shoppers for clues to solve riddles. This year there has been a definite change in the locale. On Saturday, April 20, the ChildCareGroup benefit will be held at Dallas Marriott City Center.
Uh, where’s that? Ah, come on, you know exactly where it is. Think former Plaza of the Americas. Just like a newlywed bride, it takes some time to get used to the name change.
This year’s event is being chaired by Elizabeth and Bart Showalter with Honorary Chair Lyda Hill, who is legendary for her team’s scorecard of wins.
Besides loads of fun and food, another selling factor is the attire — strictly casual. So, if your silks and tuxedoes want a weekend for refreshening at the cleaners, start organizing your team now.

LOVE this event!!! It is unlike any other fundraiser out there. I enjoy lacing up my tennis shoes and putting on my thinking cap to tackle the clues with my teammates! I am excited about the big location move this year, too. I know that Dave (the guy that creates the clues) will come up with some wonderfully devilish ways to incorporate the unique architecture there into a few of the puzzles.
