According to LaunchAbility Trustee Steve Stodghill,

“The mission of LaunchAbility is to help children and adults with developmental delays and disabilities achieve their maximum potential and lead fulfilling lives within our community.
“Last year, LaunchAbility served more than 2,600 people in North Texas.
“The result of LaunchAbility’s work, increasing the opportunity for clients to become productive members of society and reducing need for social services, is a tax payer’s dream:
- “For every $1 spent on LaunchAbility’s Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) program, $17 is returned to the community. ECI provides therapies and other services to babies and toddlers, birth to age three, who exhibit delays or disabilities such as autism, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, impaired vision, speech difficulties, fine motor skill delays, and hearing difficulties.
- “Every adult placed in a full-time job through LaunchAbility’s Supported Employment or Academy job skills training programs saves the federal government up to $47,000 per year. These programs help adults with cognitive disabilities, such as Down syndrome, autism spectrum disorders, and traumatic brain injury, train for, obtain, and keep good jobs with good pay, consistent with their abilities and interests.
