You’ve got to hand it to SMU’s Meadows Museum marketing folks. They’re advising anyone who is “stranded by Sandy” in Dallas to “pass the time at SMU’s Meadows Museum with free admission.” All you have to do is show ID from one of the states hit by the storm and you can view “Diego Velázquez: The Early Court Portraits.”

So generous! Meadows Museum did same for Katrina evacuees in 2005. My mom and stepfather loved the museum and the generous FREE services offered by Meadows Museum, SMU and City of Dallas to people displaced by Katrina’s devasatation.
