If you haven’t gotten your tickets for the Park Cities Historic and Preservation Society’s “First Annual Distinguished Speaker Luncheon” Friday at the Dallas Country Club, better hustle. With local PC son/HP Village main-man Ray Washburne as the featured speaker, it should be sold-out any second. Proceeds from the luncheon will go to a scholarship for Highland Park “seniors who plan to study architecture, history, preservation, or another major related to the preservation of our heritage.”
Ah, but if you can’t make the lunch. . . or even if you can, you will still want to attend the weekend activities like:
-
Saturday, April 14 (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.): 10th Annual Historic Home Tour of seven homes including 4221 Versailles designed by the late Anton Korn in 1925 & a boutique at 4416 Beverly Drive
- Sunday, April 15: Preservation Sunday Open Houses will feature Park Cities properties of historical or architectural significance that are for sale.
BTW, this is the only fundraiser that PCHPS holds.
