In the past couple of days the TACA and the Rosewood Mansion folks got together about the Friday’s rain forecast. Decision made. Backup plans would be put into motion for Friday’s Party on the Green. There will be no waiting until the last minute with this team. Nope, these people want the event to just as perfect inside as it would have been outside.
Don’t tell the TACA and Mansion crew, but it just might be better. Life inside the Mansion is sorta marvelous, don’t you know.
Plans call for
- Five chef stations will be upstairs in the Sheppard King
- Five chef stations will be throughout the restaurant areas,
- Five chef stations will be in the Promenade,
- Four chef stations will be in the Pavilion Ballroom and
- The wine cork pull and silent auction will be in the Ballroom.
Speaking of wine, the 400+ bottles from California, Washington, Oregon, Texas, France, Spain, Germany, Australia, Portugal, South Africa and Italy.
In the wine cork pull, there are some pretty tasty little items checking in at:
- 18 valued at $100 (one is a 2006 Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon)
- 9 valued between $75 and $99.
- 32 bottles valued between $50 and $74
- 170 bottles valued at between $35 and $49.
There are still a few tickets left, but the raffle is the really hot item. Only 600 raffle tickets are being sold at $100 per or six tickets for $500 for a sporty, five-door Lexus CT 200h (retail: $40,000) getting a whopping 43 mpg in city and 40 mpg on highway. If you’ve seen the price of gas, you know how really hot it is.
