All is not lost for the non-profits that were cut from United Way’s new distribution process. Hope Cottage’s Leslie Clay sent this information that you might find useful:
“As one of the original 13 partner agencies from the 1926 founding of Community Chest, Hope Cottage is saddened to lose the 85-year partnership we have had with the United Way. We appreciate the faith and support we have received from the community over the years, through their donations to the United Way workplace campaign. It is important for our supporters to know that any portion of your United Way donation that you designate to Hope Cottage will still come to us separate from the grant process and will be greatly appreciated and acknowledged.”
