Thursday night at Bailey’s Prime Plus on Park Lane was filled with beautiful faces of all ages. It was a “meet and greet” for the 2011 Fresh Faces of Fashion hosted by FF alums Leigh (Class of 2010) Bailey and Jennifer (Class of 2010) Lott. Not only was it the official coming out party for the class of 2011, it was a warm up for all the past and present Fresh Faces (pictured*) for the blowout event on March 25 at Stanley Korshak.
The Class of 2011 includes Amanda Sisk, Amanda Sterett, Casey Lee Robinson, Catherine Laine Sowell, Charlotte Rollin Reynolds, Claire Lee Pruitt, Ellie Lemak, Lainie Kritser, Lisa Petty, Piper Young, Shirin Askari and Teffy Jacobs.
The FF gals looked especially stunning. Perhaps it was due to their full styling treatment earlier in the day in preparation for their Modern Luxury photo shoot. In addition to clothes by Korshak (what did you expect?) and makeup by the likes of Fellini, the stylists at Blanc Hair Salon had been working in overdrive.
FF 2011/Rogers Healy and Associates’ Piper Young, who stands 5’10” sans heels, was joined by her buds and possible future FF pledges Breelyn Sumrall and Stryker’s Kim Koelz (pictured right with, from the left, Breelyn Sumrall and Piper Young). Piper is “posh and sophisticated, with ultra-class,” the gals said. Evidently Piper also has very good taste in friends.
FF 2011/jewelry designer Amanda Sterett was chatting with Marisa (Class of 2006) Huckins, who is getting back into her singing career and has signed with the Clutts Agency.
It also appeared to be a mother-daughter occasion including FF 2011 Teffy Jacobs with her mom, Doris, who was just back from New Year’s in Las Vegas. . . . Blonde Dee Dee Lee arrived with blonde daughter/Cooper Clinic’s Casey Lee Robinson, who is a FF 2011. Both of the Lee gals were dressed to the nines and comparing notes with Muffin Lemak about daughter/photographer Ellie being one of the FF 2011. . . Lee Bailey (pictured) was all smiles over daughter Leigh’s hosting the party. Lady Lee was also celebrating the conclusion of her divorce from Ed Bailey, who owns Bailey’s.
While Suicide and Crisis Center Executive Director Margie Wright looked on, Jennifer told the group about the raffle for a Park Place Mercedes. She is co-chairing the raffle with her fiancé Chris Blackwell.
It was also revealed that Patricia Massey (pictured) will be the honorary chairman and keynote speaker at the March 25 event. “My son ‘suicided’ about 10 years ago. We all have a story and. . . I’ll share mine with you in March.”
JB Hayes was there as a part of the host committee helping Yvonne Crum, who has been the driving force of Fresh Faces of Fashion and the Suicide and Crisis Center of North Texas. “You can’t say ‘No’ to Yvonne,” JB said. She also reported that her boss Ken Hersh of NGP Energy Capital Management will be speaking on a panel at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
For Yvonne (pictured), it was an especially poignant evening. Across town in Deep Ellum numerous memorial shows were taking place to honor Frankie “Frankie45” Campagna Jr., the 24-year-old musician who committed suicide on New Year’s Day. In Yvonne’s mind it was a painful reminder how much the funds are needed to prevent tragedies like Frankie’s from occurring in the future.
