There comes a time when the good old familiar way gets to be sorta dusty and ho-hum. When MySweetCharity started in March 2010, it was a homepage with PlainsCapital Bank as its sole supporter. Later that year a Photo Gallery sneaked into place. Three years later the MSC Calendar was added to help event planners avoid fundraising collisions.
Over the years the MSC has been honored to have been the digital sponsor for some of the most dedicated nonprofits working for the good of North Texas and to have a community of subscribers, who are generous with their time, talents and funds.
But MSC’s effort would not have been possible without the support of organizations like Ebby, Baylor Health Care System Foundation, Children’s Medical Center Foundation and many others.
In recent months, a review of MSC was undertaken with some surprises (6,479 posts, 342 photo galleries and 3,668 events on the calendar) and some honest looking in the mirror. The decision was made to “refresh” the MSC look. But before the project was begun, a fear was raised. Other websites had updated their looks, resulting in their readers feeling frustrated and a bit betrayed. So, the agreement was made that the change would stay true to the basic format of MSC origins.
Think of it as changing from a girdle to Spanx. The new look will be easier on the eye, but it will remain the same old MSC. Some folks might not even notice the change, but we did want you to know that come Monday MSC will be refreshed.
Caveat: As the MSC hometeam adapts to working with the new look, there may be a hiccup or two. Let us know if you spot one and we’ll un-hiccup it.

Think of it as changing from a girdle to Spanx – that analogy made me laugh out loud. Can’t wait to see the Refresh. And thanks for all that MSC does for our community

Go for it!

It looks great! I like the font. A subtle change, but one that makes a huge difference! Keep up the great work!
