Equest’s Sugar, the mini-ambassador equine, has retired to grazing with a 19-year-old gelding. In her place on Wednesday, September 28, was mini-ambassador newbie Dare, who knew just the right pose with guests at Jimmy Choo’s for the Equest Women’s Auxiliary Luncheon and Style Show Patrons Party.
Why, Dare was such a showstopper that passerby sisters 9-year-old Tyler Singleton and 12-year-old Reese Singleton couldn’t help but stop in their tracks to meet the little gelding. While not quite Jimmy Choo-ish, Tyler’s purple glitter clogs seemed to fit in with the sparkling shoes on display in the Jimmy Choo windows.
As Equest Women’s Auxiliary President Di Johnston and Luncheon Chair Kara Axley greeted guests like past Equest Luncheon chairs Angie Kadesky and Emilynn Wilson, honoree Lindalyn Adams made the rounds thanks to a super-duper, sit-down walker with spiffy cane.
Needing no assistance in getting around were Honorary Co-Chairs Lezlie and Bill Noble, who just strolled down from Bill’s headquarters and were joined by Equest CEO Lili Kellogg.
Of course, one of the highlights on the shelves were the Jimmy Choo boots. Why, they practically pay for themselves. Whether it’s Equest, Cattle Baron’s just honky-tonking around, couture boots are always the footwear du jour in these parts.
