While the majority of Republican presidential candidates were debating on Thursday, January 28, Donald Trump was raising funds for vets. That’s all well and good, but locals were hard at work to support area fundraisers like Hope’s Door that had an intimate chef’s dinner to celebrate the organization’s 30 years of helping people in Collin County overcome domestic violence.
The dinner at Carso Mediterranean Grill was the result of partnering by Chef Anthony Bombaci and Dallas Uncorked’s Hayley Hamilton Cogill with Gary Cogill serving as emcee. The invitation-only supper was a “donation-free zone” and a simple thank-you for the folks who had supported the organization over the three past decades.
But, of course, there was talk about the upcoming events like the Anniversary Luncheon on Friday, May 20, and “An Evening of Hope Gala” on Saturday, November 5. Deets are in the finalization stage. Stay tuned.
