As has recently been recognized, the profession of nursing is on the frontline in the world of healthcare. Due to advanced technology and research, the knowledge and information are constantly being updated. That is why the most up-to-date education of this vital force is paramount to the well-being of the community as a whole. To help fund this preparation, the following event took place on the evening of Monday, November 3:

“The Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing in Dallas is passionate about preparing exemplary nurses for the 21st Century and the key to doing that is recruiting and retaining outstanding students. Past Going for the Gold Galas featured champion athletes such as: America’s gold medal legend Mary Lou Retton in 2014; former Dallas Cowboy running back Emmitt Smith in 2013 and Baylor’s championship-winning women’s basketball coach Kim Mulkey, who joined former Dallas Cowboy quarterback Troy Aikman at the inaugural gala in 2012. Over the years the three gala have raised more than $1.7 million for student scholarships.
