The chairs for the 2014 Dallas Symphony Orchestra gala haven’t been revealed, but the evening’s headliner has just been announced — world-famous violinist Itzhak Perlman.
He will perform with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra under the direction of DSO Music Director Jaap van Zweden for the Saturday, September 13th DSO fundraiser at the Meyerson.
According to Maestro van Zweden, “It is my distinct pleasure to welcome Itzhak Perlman back to the Dallas Symphony on the occasion of the 2014 Dallas Symphony Orchestra AT&T Gala. We have an unforgettable musical evening planned, and I can promise a surprise or two. The concert will be an ideal opening to our 2014/15 Texas Instruments Classical Series season and the silver anniversary of our wonderful concert hall.”
This year’s gala will mark the 25th anniversary of the renowned Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center.
Sponsors already on board are title sponsor AT&T, Park Place Motorcars, The Ritz-Carlton Dallas and Eiseman Jewels.
