Just In: Children’s Medical Center Holiday Parade Canceled

For the first time in its history, Saturday’s Children’s Medical Center Holiday Parade has been canceled due to the icy weather. The statement reads,

“Because we are an organization committed to making life better for children, we are canceling the Children’s Medical Center Holiday Parade for the first time in its 26-year history due to impending weather conditions.

“We do not want to put the health and well-being of the people we serve at risk — including our patients, our volunteers, participants, sponsors and attendees.”

Very wise move! No doubt this is a costly decision by the those-in-power, but it was made with the safety and well-being of all in mind. We applaud their wisdom and concern for others.

  1. We love the Children’s Parade…ABSOLUTELY LOVE it!!
We’ve been attended the parade for many many years and then,
Our son was invited to be part of the parade-
That year it was freezing COLD too…
Children’s is SO gracious, we were ALL dressed & ready when Carson said, I want to go home
So we wend home and SAT by the fire…
The parade went on without us, and EVERYONE WAS okay with our departure!!
we LOVE, love, LoVe Children’s Medical Center of Dallas
