Turquoise is the diamond of the southwest. It just happens to blend the best of blue with the whimsy of yellow and a touch of green. It’s never stuffy and goes wonderfully with thick, woolly sweaters or on a tanned wrist. It makes even the most worn-out, shabby jeans and white shirt take on a super-duper sparkle. Plus the stone seems to only appear at happy and festive occasions.
So perhaps that why jewel designing nymph Shona Gilbert hooked on to Mission Olé’s “Mountains of Santa Fe” and is hosting a trunk show with 20% of sales benefiting Trinity River Mission.
It takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21. For deets, check with 2013 Mission Ole Tri-Chair Maggie Kipp.
Once you have a piece of turquoise, your homerun of fashion is made when it comes to fashionable western. Oops, you already knew that.
Maggie Kipp says
Mission Ole will be even more Santa Fe Fabulous with your turquoise jewels! See you Wednesday evening – please send me or Shona Gilbert message for party address. Thank you, Jeanne – we are raising lots of money and having lots of FUN for Trinity River Mission!
