Lisa Blue Baron needs to turn 60 again and again! Not only did she celebrate her 60th birthday Friday, she opened her palatial estate for the benefit of others once again. This time it was to launch Larry “J.R.” Hagman‘s foundation that is totally “Dallas” oriented.
With numerous members of the “Dallas” cast (Brenda Strong, Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, etc.) supporting him, Larry announced on stage behind Lisa’s mansion that he had created a foundation to “promote various types of creative arts opportunities to underserved populations with diverse ethnic backgrounds.”
The 81-year-old, blue-eyed head of the Ewings admitted that despite having been born and raised in Texas, he wasn’t a football star. Rather he headed for the performing arts as a youngster. Well, heck with a mother like Mary Martin. . . well, duh!
Then it was revealed that the inaugural recipients of the newly formed foundation would be ArtReach, Big Thought and the Dallas Children’s Theater.
More deets to follow as the party winds down with Asleep at the Wheel heading up the entertainment and Food Glorious Food supplying the goodies.
Don’t you just wish more people would celebrate their birthdays like Lisa.
Happy birthday, Lisa. 60 becomes you!
