TACA’s RBC Wealth Management Custom Auction Item # 11: Glorious Weekend of Opera

With TACA’s RBC Wealth Management Custom Auction Gala coming up on Friday, September 21, at the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek, it might be wise to check out the 11 luxury packages up for bid. Instead of just listing all of ‘em at once, let’s just post one each day leading up to TACA’s big fundraiser for the performing arts of Dallas. So here’s the first of the 11-day countdown of items up for bid.

Glorious Weekend of Opera (Value: $10,000)

Santa Fe Opera House

There are those who swear that Santa Fe is the getaway home of Dallasites. There’s reason for this idea. Thanks to the weather, the landscape, the art and the lifestyle, it is everything Dallas folks enjoy when they relax. Let’s face it — just gazing at the Sangre de Cristo and Jemez mountains is breathtaking.

Ah, but who would think this easy-going town would also boast one of the world-renowned operas? Why anyone who knows opera would.

This package is just made for anyone who loves opera or wants to have a first-time introduction on a spectacular scale. TACA has arranged for two couples to fly via American Airlines for a weekend of opera luxury including two consecutive nights of performances (The Marriage of Figaro and The Grand Duchess of Gerolstein) at the Santa Fe Opera. Naturally, the foursome will have access to the Opera Club, reserved parking and passes for a backstage tour.

As for dining, Santa Fe has something for every taste bud, but TACA has arranged for a dinner at the award-winning Compound one night.

Ah, but where to stay? Not to worry. TACA has taken care of that, too. They’ll stay at the historic Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi for three nights.
