Just ran into Kidney Texas Luncheon Chair Emilynn Wilson at the luncheon’s patron party at Gigi and Roy Salley‘s marvelously perfect home. (You of course know that previously her parents owned the mansion and before that, Toddie Lee Wynne did.)
When asked how ticket sales were going for Monday’s luncheon at the Dallas Country Club, the Kidney Texas chair said with a Cheshire cat grin, “We’re so sold out.”
Before being rudely interrupted by old Queenie, Emilynn was chatting with Honorary Chair/kidney cancer survivor Dr. Phil Evans and his adorable wife Laurie. When Queenie greeted Dr. Phil, she embarrassed all within earshot by saying, “You probably don’t recognize me with my clothes on.”
Thank heaven, the elves were at home watching reruns of “Murder She Wrote” and Laurie laughed, implying it wasn’t the first time she’d heard that one.
Oh, dear! Whatever did old Queenie mean by that? Here’s what she meant. Not to worry. It was a strictly G-rated situation.
