The reward for someone to step forward and turn in the person(s) who taped shut the mouth and cut the dog named Hope is at $35,000. But for the next 72 hours, American Dog Rescue Foundation founder and philanthropist Arthur E. Benjamin has offered an additional $5,000 to encourage someone to provide “any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrators of the pug mix.”
According to Arthur, “After meeting with the Texas Humane Alliance this morning, I was shocked to hear that the people who had done these terrible things to Hope were still at large. Money is an instigator and I am hoping that by increasing the reward to $40,000 for the next few days it will help draw those people who know something out of the shadows and into the Parker County Sheriff’s department. Dog cruelty has got to stop and this can only happen when people speak up, the torturers are stopped and justice is served.”
That means the reward is a nice $40,000. It’s easy to get. Just call the Sheriff’s office at 817.594.3213 or the Parker County Crime Stoppers Hotline at 817.599.5555 with the names of the soon-to-be criminals. Remember, you’ve got until Monday midnight to cash in.
BTW, Hope is happily residing with Kit and Charlie Moncrief.
