. . . well, we took a poll with the top folks. Co-chair Jacquelin Taylor with a twinkle in her eye hoped to break $100,000 with just 11 auction items. TACA Chairman of the Board Andy Teller was more optimistic, with a prediction of $125,000 shocking a nearby black-tie guest.
Thanks to Annette Presley, who had just flown in from New Zealand to support her best bud Holly Reed, the grand total for the night was a whopping $194,000. That’s $75,000 more than last year’s take!
Annette bought the Grammy’s package for a holy mackerel $55,000.
It also didn’t hurt that Kent “The Man” Rathbun sold his The Rathbun Dine Around to three different bidders for a grand total of $36,000.
As one guest put it, “These numbers are sounding more like Cattle Baron’s bids.”
More details to come, but thanks to a stellar black-tie crowd, a totally amazing Christie’s (Los Angeles) President Andrea Fiuczynski presiding over the auction and the New Zealanders, Christmas came early for the Dallas performing arts.
WARNING: As fabulous as the night’s total was, the clothes and people were so over the top. Like we said, deets to follow soon.

What a great night for TACA. Thanks to Holly for inviting Annette…she certainly made a big impact our fundraising goal which ultimately will help more arts organizations. And, she had a great time in Dallas!!!
