Last Friday these 492 pairs of shoes at City Hall represented the ones that have been lost due to suicide. Like the shoes, they came from all walks of life and ages. Each person had a different reason for taking his/her life, but they left behind countless others who are still devastated by their death.

If you suspect that someone is going through a difficult time and just might be a danger to themselves or perhaps you’re experiencing similar feelings, contact the Suicide and Crisis Center of North Texas, CONTACT or your family physician or minister.

Let’s not add anymore shoes to this lost collection.
