If you’ve driven or walked by Thanks-Giving Square on Wednesdays or Thursdays during September around lunch time, you might have noticed food trucks like The Butcher’s Son, Gandolfos, Cup Cakin, Nammi and Ruthie’s Rolling Cafe. Don’t you just love the versatility of these rolling restaurants!
But these foodie delights are doing more than serving up “great grub.” They’re supporting Thanks-Giving Square’s “Go Orange” for the North Texas Food Bank‘s 30th Anniversary and Hunger Action Month. For a donation of non-perishable and canned food items at the time of purchase, the donor gets a 10% discount on his/her purchase.
To heighten the awareness of the month, the Thanks-Giving Square staff has lit up the spiral chapel with orange lights and placed orange ribbons on the trees within the park.
Bet you thought Thanks-Giving Square was dressing up for the October 13th Texas-OU football game. Oh, please! Thanks-Giving Foundation “promotes the spirit and unifying value of giving thanks in our community, nation and the world.” It does not take sides in football games.
If you haven’t made it by, you’ve only got this Wednesday and Thursday to take advantage of this offer and help the NTFB.
