Take A Chance And Party Away The Summer Doldrums At The Real Estate Council’s Young Guns’ Sixth Annual Casino Night

The Young Guns of The Real Estate Council know how to fill an empty space. Nope, not talking about a leasing  deal. Rather, that vacancy that’s pretty much been around, what with summer vacations and the heat emptying out the local scene. These smarties know that folks are eager to find a reason to dress up and party.

That’s why the Sixth Annual Casino Night on Thursday, August 23, at 3400 Carlisle is just made to fill the void.

Sure, there’ll be gambling from 7 to 11 p.m. and then an after-party at a to-be-announced spot. Of course, there will be a raffle (one-year lease for a Kia Soul donated by Central Kia, gift certificates to local restaurants, tickets to sporting events, etc.), hors d’oeuvres, drinks and games of chance.

2012 Casino Night Chair Erin Wiltz and her committee have a goal in mind — $20,000. And all the proceeds from the night will “benefit their renovation efforts at the Moorland Family YMCA in South Dallas.”

According to Erin, “The chance to raise funds for such a great cause while having a great time is a wonderful opportunity.”

This YMCA location is one of the oldest branches of the Y and is showing its age. With the money raised by the Young Guns, improvements will be made on the flooring, acoustic ceilings, new furniture, computers, projectors and entertainment systems. In addition, they also have on their “to-do list,” the installation of an irrigation system and a new amphitheater.

If you purchase your tickets in advance, it’s only $60 for Young Gun members and $85 for non-members.

This year’s sponsors include High Roller Sponsors Forest City and Houlihan Lokey, Black Jack Sponsor Jacobs, VIP Reception Sponsor Goldman Sachs, Venue Sponsor Caddo Services LLC and After Party Sponsor Union Bear.
