Each year you think the Dallas CASA Parade of Playhouses has just reached the limit in cuteness. This year the event including 19 houses will be presented by the ORIX Foundation at NorthPark Center from Friday, August 3 through Sunday, August 19.

You don’t even have to have a child in your life to get one! All you have to do is be part of the march against child abuse in Dallas.

“Parade of Playhouses gives children who come to NorthPark the chance to win a fabulous playhouse,” said Beverly Levy, Dallas CASA President and Executive Director. “At the same time, it gives abused and neglected children the best chance of having the safe and loving homes they’ve dreamed of.”

For a mere $5, you can get a raffle ticket for the chance to win one of 18 mini-mansions including “a maritime lighthouse, an urban chicken coop which will come with an art piece by a local artist, an airplane hangar and even a baseball dugout complete with memorabilia graciously contributed by the Texas Rangers organization.”

Or, if you want to splurge, you can get five raffle tickets for $20.

What about the 19th playhouse? It’s going to be auctioned off.

Actually the timing couldn’t be more perfect. Back-to-school shopping at NorthPark will be underway and the CASA folks will have tables set up for ticket purchases. What? You’re out of town until Labor Day? Not to worry. You can also buy raffle tickets or bid on #20 online.

Winners will be announced at 4 p.m. on August 19 at NorthPark. You don’t have to be present to win, but you never like to miss a good party.
