You’re going to be hearing a lot about the Parker County dog whose mouth was duct taped with her tongue exposed. Yes, it’s a case of extreme and intentional animal cruelty. The fate of the dog is bleak at best and the animal lovers and those who don’t even like pets are outraged. . . and rightly so.
Not only is this an unbelievable crime, it was also committed by a person or persons who got some type of perverted thrill out of it — holding the dog down, pulling its tongue out, taping its mouth so tightly that the tongue could not be pulled back and then releasing the animal.
As horrendous as this situation is, it is going to get worse. The criminal(s) will continue to get their thrills by upping their exploits. When they run out of animals to punish, they’ll start with children and eventually other vulnerable creatures within our society.
So, let’s not get mad. Let’s get that madman. . . or woman.

This is an outrage, and it is hard not to get mad. I do hope they find the person or persons responsible. Punishment for these kinds of crimes needs to be more stern, if enough of us continue to cry in outrage I hope we can have an impact in making that a reality.

If you want to make an impact, support the Texas Humane Legislation Network, so that we can hire lobbyists to get our Texas law makers to strengthen laws and give them “bite”. Nothing will happen by just sitting back and thinking, “oh, that’s horrible”. When they tried to get cock fighting banned, there was actually a legislator who said he frequently attends cock fights. This is what we are dealing with. Backwards small counties. Since animals cannot talk, or lobby, WE ALL need to act! http://www.thln.com/
