According to reports, former First RepublicBank/NorthPark Bank executive Charlie Pistor was a victim of the 2012 West Nile virus. But to those who delve beyond the headlines, he was a dedicated supporter of SMU, the arts especially the Dallas Summer Musicals and a past president of the Dallas Assembly.
Summary: May he be remembered for his many accomplishments instead of the cause of his death.

Lori and family-

My husband William Clyde crews spoke often about Charlie pistor as he worked for the old republic bank and retired after 32 years. He died almost 5 years ago. Most of the ones he worked with have passed on now. Clyde always had good memories of charlie. My. Sympathy is with the family. I miss Clyde. So very much and him talking of his memories.

Yes, may he be remembered for how he loved SMU and DSM and I remember him for being so kind and so wonderful to Tom Hughes when he was sick and Charlie was the best to keep the board going smoothly so Tom wouldn’t worry.. I respected him more than anyone will ever know because of the way he treated everyone… made no distinction of what you did but how he knew you.. what another great loss for DALLAS.
We are heartbroken to hear of Charlie’s passing…we loved playing trains with him, and seeing him at the DSM, and at SMU.
Our sympathies are extended to the family and friends who loved him.
