Let’s be painfully honest. Dessert is the very best part of a meal. Whether it’s chocolate or creme brulee, it is perfection . . . except when you step on the scales the next morning. But thanks to Altrusa Inc. of Downtown Dallas, you won’t feel the guilt this week. They’re hosting the 4th annual “Dessert First” fundraiser at The Apartment from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Who are they raising funds for? Friends of Wednesday’s Child!
Honorary co-chairs Suzanne Bock Grishman and Michael Grishman are also hosting a VIP reception from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The evening of “savory, champagne and chocolate” will hit a hit calorie point with the unveiling of an edible chocolate sculpture created by Todd Fiscus. Providing the audio elements to the evening will be Bryan Dunklin and Dante Andrade.
And don’t worry. Yup, we know what you’re thinking. You’ll be home in plenty of time for the first game of the World Series.
