Don’t you just love to see artists in action? Their creativity is absolutely contagious. From 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday night at Decorazon Gallery, you can see artists create “unique works of art” from transforming basic white plates into artwork. In September the painted plates will be auctioned off at the “Great Gatsby. . . Get Your Flap On!” benefiting the AIDS Interfaith Network co-chaired by Rhonda Sargent Chambers, Jon Chester and Gilbert Castillo.
Even after the plate artistry ends 9 p.m., the party will continue until midnight to commemorate Decorazon Gallery “as it departs the Bishop Arts District.”
A donation of $5 is all they asked for admission to the festivities. What a Saturday night bargain! And you just know that if Rhonda’s connected with the event, you’re gonna see some gorgeous folks in attendance.
