Attention, all dieters. You’re getting the weekend off from celery and Slim•Fast. Come rain or snow or shine, it’s the TACA Proscenium presented by ALON USA and Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek. Imagine chefs from around the world coming together to compete for your taste buds for two days. And we’re not talking just any old chefs with a white apron and a spoon. Here’s a rundown —
FRIDAY (7 p.m.) — The TACA Lexus Party on the Green is an event for the young of heart and mind. Old fogies are so out of place, dont’ you know! Indoor/outdoor food fun with 15 celebrity chefs (Daniel Bausa, Rosewood Mayakobá; Stephane Chevet, Shibuya at MGM Grand; David Collier, Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek; Hemant Dadlani, Rosewood Little Dix Bay; Bruno Davaillon, Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek; Anthony Dawodu, Caneel Bay, A Rosewood Resort; Wolfgang Eberle, Al Faisaliah Hotel, A Rosewood Hotel, and Hotel Al Khozama, A Rosewood Hotel; J. Pablo Loza, Jumby Bay, A Rosewood Resort; Victor Palma, Las Ventanas al Paraiso, A Rosewood Resort; Monica Pope, T’afia; Oliver Ridgeway, Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi; Juan Rosado, Rosewood Crescent Hotel; Peter Rudolph, Madera Restaurant at Rosewood Sand Hill; Luca Rutigliano, CordeValle, A Rosewood Resort; James Sakatos, The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel; and Natalia Machado, Industria Argentina). Even their names sound delicious!
In addition to all the absolutely most delicious food, there will be a silent auction created by the chefs, the infamous “Wine Cork Pull” and live entertainment. The people watching ain’t gonna be shabby either.
SATURDAY (11 a..m.) – Early but not too early, the food fun continues ala Mansion style at the TACA Culinary Master Class with three of Rosewood Mansion’s most charming and talented chefs from the past and present doing their “thang.” Just to see and sample the delights of one of these fellows would be a drooling treat. And the chefs will be Mansion alumni Dean Fearing and Kent Rathbun and current Exec Chef Bruno Davaillon. If Bruno is new to your Rolodex, word among the foodies is that he’s really making waves in the food world. Love those waves!
There are still a few. . . just a few tickets available for both Friday and Saturday. And, don’t forget the Lexus Chance Ticket. For $100 you enter the raffle for a 2010 Lexus Hybrid Sedan.
